Dynamos should have won the first period easily but somehow John Hester manged to miss three solo chances ay goal. So instead Glasgow changed round 1-0 down to a Flyers side who took along time to get their game together. Hester made amends in the second period with two fine goals but Fife increased their lead. Both teams went all out in an exciting third period and when Wildson made it 5-4, it looked like Dynamos might salvage at least a point. But Kinmond got his second for Flyers to give them both points.

Best for Dynamos were Hester and McLennan while Brennan and Kinmond starred for Fife.
