Report by Tony Donnelly IceHockey Herald No 4 (May 1969) After two exciting periods in this match,
a depleted Flyers outfit were swamped in the last period. Jimmy hunter opened the scoring after eight minutes, but twelve
minutes later, just after the first bell Barry Stevenson levelled. In 21 minutes, Billy Lavet put Dynamos into the lead, but
a spectacular goal from Kenny Horne put Flyers back into the game. His blue line shot squeezed into a tiny space between Gary
hysert and his right hand post. In 37 minutes Barry Stevenson knocked up another goal for Dynamos, putting them into the lead
                                    again. Three minutes after
the restart, Stevenson again showed his mettle when he took on the whole of the Fife defence before scoring his third goal.
With 48 minutes gone Billy Lavety again got his name on the score sheet with a very neat goal. A minute later Pep Young pulled
one back , but by now it was obvious the Fife team were tiring and it was no surprise when Billy and Donnie Lavety and Barry
Stevenson put the final nails in Fifes coffin. Perhaps the most notable thing about this game was that not a single penalty
was handed out from start to finish.
