Dynamos were 4-0 up at the end of the first period, 5-3 ahead at the second break but finally lost the winner to a goal scored by Gordon Manuel who played much of his early hockey at Crossmyloof.

Dynamos suffered from penalty trouble in the last ten minutes and had earlier lost John Hester on a match misconduct for dissent

 

My own recollection of this game was the overbearing refereeing which saw 10 minute penalties being handed out like confetti. Both John Hester and the Durham Swede received misconducts for hitting the goal posts with frustration on missing a "sitter" - hardly dramatic stuff!!
